Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach – Staycation of Our Dreams!
On Memorial Day weekend we had the absolute pleasure of staying at the best hotel on Clearwater Beach, the Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach and it was quite literally the staycation of our dreams! The resort is just stunning, from its beautiful clean and welcoming aesthetic to the gorgeous rooms and breathtaking views. And don’t even get me started on the food- it was all simply mouthwatering! What truly made our experience unforgettable was the amazing service we received. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for. Trust me, this resort is a gem you won’t want to miss! Let me tell you a little more about our stay.

Checking In
Driving over the bridge into Clearwater Beach, your worries seem to slip away as soon as the beach appears and vacation mode immediately begins to kick in. Pulling up to the Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach takes it to a whole new level. It’s like stepping into paradise- pure bliss awaits!
The moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the valet agent and bellman, who escorted us into the stunning light and tropical lobby. The front desk check-in was a breeze and the guest service agents were incredibly hospitable. Since we arrived early and our room wasn’t quite ready yet, they provided us with temporary room key (bracelets-so cool!) so we could enjoy the pool and other amenities while we waited. We loved the special touch of two different types of fresh fruit-infused water available in the lobby and it was such a refreshing treat! And can you believe it? They even mentioned the possibility of a room upgrade. YAY!

While waiting for our room to be prepared we decided to grab a bite at Ocean Hai, one of the restaurants on property. Let me tell you, our lunch was absolutely incredible! We couldn’t resist ordering the Margherita Flatbread and the Baja Fish Tacos. Both dishes were a delicious and left us craving for more! Luckily we made dinner reservations there for later that evening:)

The Room/Presidential Suite
After lunch we received notice that our room was ready and we were BLOWN AWAY when we walked into our room. If you want to witness our genuine reactions, you can check out my Instagram stories highlight from our stay. I captured the moment we walked into our room, and it’s definitely worth a watch!
You won’t believe this- we were completely floored when we walked in and realized that they had upgraded us to the Presidential Suite at the Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach! I mean, talk about jaw-dropping! We were in utter shock and awe at the pure luxury and beauty of our suite. It was like living in a dream! As we walked in, we couldn’t believe our eyes. The first thing we saw was a large living room complete with a kitchen and a bathroom. But here’s the kicker- there was a set of stairs, and wait for it… an actual elevator! We hadn’t seen anything yet!
As we made our way upstairs, we were greeted by not one, but two spacious living rooms. And can we talk about the stunning full kitchen and dining room? There were three bedrooms in total. The primary king bedroom was absolutely breathtaking, with a gorgeous, modern bathroom featuring a soaking tub that overlooked the inner coastal waterway. The next bedroom had another king bed, and the third had two comfy queen beds. Each bedroom had its own bathroom, and there was a large connecting balcony with that same picturesque intercoastal view.
Speaking of balconies, the entire living area of the suite opened up to a huge balcony that offered panoramic views of the pool, Clearwater Beach, and the Gulf of Mexico. Our favorite spot to soak in the sun, savor the scenery, and enjoy our staycation right from the comfort of our own private space.

The Property
From the moment we arrived at the Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach, we were instantly transported to paradise. The modern and serene beach vibes created a welcoming atmosphere and the resort itself was beautifully maintained. As we entered, the sight of the impressive hotel pool surrounded by palm trees and overlooking Clearwater Beach, was a moment that instantly set the tone for our stay. The pool area had plenty of comfortable lounge chairs and day beds, perfect for sunbathing (and large umbrellas for those who prefer more shade), along with a spacious hot tub to unwind and relax.
The lobby was equally impressive, with large seating areas featuring unique and visually pleasing seating options that provided both comfort and a fun aesthetic. Plus, the best part was that we were just steps away from Clearwater Beach, with exclusive cabanas and beach chairs reserved for hotel guests. It was the ultimate beachfront experience, offering a perfect blend of relaxation and luxury.

Dining
I can’t say enough how incredible the dining experiences were during our stay. I have to say every meal was simply amazing! Our go-to spot was Ocean Hai, where breakfast, lunch, and dinner were served and it was all SO GOOD. We loved trying fun cocktails at the other spots on property especially the frozen concoctions at Dock’s Pool Bar & Grille, which were the perfect way to cool off with all of the fun in the sun!
Dinner at Ocean Hai was a culinary adventure beyond words. We went all out and tried a little bit of everything (there’s so many great options on the menu!). We tried the Beef Skewer & Frites, Sushi Rolls, Grouper, Chicken, and Sea Bass. Every single item was delicious! And let’s not forget about dessert! We ordered a few different items for dessert, including the largest fortune cookie we’ve ever seen. We loved the fortune we received too, it’s definitely one to live by! ” You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.”
For breakfast, we couldn’t resist the buffet at Ocean Hai, and let me tell you, it was unparalleled. Even as someone who lived in Vegas for nine years, this buffet blew me away. So many options, and all so tasty!
But you know what made all of our dining experiences even better? The incredible service. Everyone went above and beyond to ensure everything was nothing short of outstanding and the friendly and attentive staff added an extra layer of enjoyment to our time dining and having cocktails across the property.

Activities
We received a fantastic guide when we checked in at the resort that had all the inside scoop on the amenities and activities happening throughout the week. We’re talking morning yoga sessions to kickstart the day, exciting poolside games, and even a DJ to keep the good vibes going. Also included were restaurant and bar times which really helped with semi planning our days. The guide also provided information about the spa and gym facilities. The best part? It included a detailed schedule, making it super helpful to stay on top of everything during our stay. It was like having our own personal roadmap to ensure we didn’t miss out on any of the fun!

The Spa
The last thing I did on our staycation was book a treatment at the Pallavi Luxury Spa– the spa on property. It was pure magic! The moment I walked in, the receptionist greeted me with a warm smile and guided me to get my cozy robe and slippers. Then, I was led to a relaxation room with a breathtaking view, where I waited for my treatment.
When I was booking my appointment, I was unsure of what to choose. Luckily, the staff recommended the Signature Seaweed Detox, and I am forever grateful that I followed their advice. It was exactly what I needed! The treatment as described on their menu “began with a gentle full-body massage, starting face-up, combining the healing power of the sea with aromatherapy. As part of the experience, a soothing warming mud was placed along my spine, working its magic to reduce tension, eliminate toxins, and infuse trace minerals into my body.”
Let me tell you, it was an experience to remember! The massage was beyond amazing, and as I walked out of the spa, I felt incredibly relaxed and rejuvenated. It was the perfect way to conclude our unforgettable staycation. If there’s one thing you should not miss during your visit, it’s a trip to the Pallavi Luxury Spa. Trust me, you’ll walk out feeling absolutely incredible!

The Service
Every single employee we interacted with during our stay at the Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach was incredibly welcoming, kind, and helpful. Their warm and friendly attitudes truly enhanced our experience and made our stay absolutely wonderful. It’s so refreshing to encounter such a dedicated and attentive staff who go above and beyond to ensure that guests feel well taken care of. The exceptional service provided by the employees played a big role in making our stay truly memorable.
