Who Says Gift Baskets Need Actual Baskets?

When it comes to gift-giving, it’s time to think outside the basket! This summer, get creative and put together a unique gift “basket” that reflects the joy and fun of the season. I like to start with an inspiration piece or theme to set the tone. This time, I was inspired by an adorable shell bowl are perfect for everything from holding ice for drinks, chilling champagne, or serving snacks. The options are endless!

Here’s how you can create your own summer-themed gift “basket” without using a traditional basket:

1. Shell Bowl

The centerpiece of this gift is a charming shell bowl. Its versatile nature makes it ideal for so many different uses, ensuring it will be a favorite long after the initial gift is enjoyed! Use it as a:

  • Drink chiller: Fill it with ice and pop in a couple bottles of champagne.
  • Snack bowl: Perfect for chips, fruits, or other summer treats.
  • Decorative piece: A stylish addition to any coastal-themed and summer decor.

2. Beachy Bottle of Wine

No summer gift is complete without a refreshing beverage. I found a beach-themed bottle of wine that fits perfectly with the coastal vibe. There are so many fun bottles out there to choose from and whether you prefer wine, bubbles, or even a pre-made cocktail, or mocktail – just make sure it matches the theme!

3. Fish Glasses

Next, I added the cutest fish glasses. These are made of plastic, making them perfect for outdoor settings like by the pool or out on the dock. They’re not only adorable but also practical and safe for summertime fun.

4. Blue Coconut Candle

To enhance the tropical feel, I included a blue coconut candle that smells like paradise. It’s a delightful way to bring the scent of summer into any space, making it a perfect addition to the gift set.

5. Fresh Flowers

I love adding fresh flowers to a gift. In this case, I couldn’t fit a whole vase and bouquet into the shell bowl, so I pulled a few blooms and filled in any open spaces. The flowers add a special touch and make the presentation even more beautiful. I made a bouquet with the remaining flowers and gave it in addition to the gift. Pro tip: Trader Joe’s has amazing flower options and reasonably priced!

6. Local Business Gift Card

To top things off, I added a gift card to Little Blue Designs. This local shop is filled with beautiful artwork, and supporting small businesses always adds a special touch to any gift. It’s a wonderful way to let the recipient choose something they love and will cherish.
